Jerry Gilmore (Owen Jeremy Adrian Gilmore) died peacefully on 13th November 2019 with strength and humour till the end.

A larger than life figure, much loved brother to three, father to nine, grandfather to eight, and friend to many.

A celebrated and pioneering surgeon who will be remembered for his enormous contributions to surgery and medicine, with both his groundbreaking Gilmore’s Groin operation and establishing the first breast cancer centre, but also his zest for life and amazing generosity.
